Styrene butadiene rubber (SBR)

Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is a general-purpose synthetic rubber and is sometimes used as a replacement for natural rubber. It can be produced by free radical polymerization in solution or by emulsion polymerization at temperatures from 30 to 60°C (hot rubber) or cold at temperatures close to 0°C (cold rubber). It is characterized by good resistance to abrasion and aging when protected with additives.

✓Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) is mainly used in the production of tires/tire products, conveyor belts, gaskets, hoses, floor tiles, wire and cable insulation, footwear and adhesives.

Polybutadiene rubber (BR)

✓ Polybutadiene is created by chemically combining many butadiene molecules into giant molecules or polymers. Hardened polybutadiene rubber provides excellent abrasion resistance and low rolling resistance. Polybutadiene rubbers are the second largest synthetic rubber produced, next to styrene-butadiene rubbers (SBR).

✓ Polybutadiene rubber (BR) is used to make tires, golf balls, hose inner tubes, railroad ties, bridge blocks, footwear, wire and cable insulation, and conveyor belts. It is also used to improve the mechanical properties of plastics.

Polychloroprene rubber (CR)

✓ Polychloroprene rubber (CR) has an excellent balance of mechanical properties and fatigue resistance that is second only to natural rubber. It has good resistance to many chlorofluorocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, mineral oils, greases and ozone, but only moderate to poor resistance to acids, solvents and fuels. It also has good flame/heat resistance. It also provides excellent bonding of rubber to metal. It is a strong and durable rubber that is resistant to abrasion and withstands temperatures from -35°C to 125°C in some species.

✓ Polychloroprene rubber (CR) has a wide range of applications. It is used in the production of gaskets, hoses, automotive fan belts, electrical insulation, weather stripping materials, wetsuits, fly waders, professional diving suits, life jackets, remote controls, knee and elbow pads, laptop sleeves, etc.

Isoprene rubber (IR)

✓ Isoprene rubber (IR) is a synthetic isoprene polymer. It has the key characteristics of natural rubber such as good mechanical properties and hysteresis, as well as excellent properties such as good flow, high purity, excellent clarity, low gel content, no natural rubber proteins and nitrosamines.

✓ Isoprene rubber (IR) is used to make rubber bands, cut threads, baby bottle nipples, extruded hoses, tires, engine mounts, shock absorber bushings, pipe gaskets, footwear, sponge, sporting goods, and many other molded and mechanical products. Additionally, liquid isoprene rubber (IR) can act as a reactive plasticizer.

Fluoroelastomers

✓ Fluoroelastomer is a high-quality synthetic rubber containing fluorine. It is exceptionally resistant to heat, oxygen and a wide range of oils, gases, fluids and chemicals – at elevated temperatures and in difficult conditions.

✓ Fluoroelastomers are used in high-temperature and acid-resistant seals, oil-resistant seals, offshore seals, fuel-resistant cable jackets and temperature-resistant seals, gaskets, O-rings, tubes, lines used in fuel systems, air intake systems, turbocharger systems, engines or transmissions, components used in chemical processing equipment, utility compensators, roller covers, etc.
